Client Setup Instructions for JMP for Windows

A license of JMP Pro has been purchased for the entire campus. This license allows for an unlimited number of installations of JMP which will function until October 2021. JMP Logo

Under the terms of the license, this software is teaching and research use only! JMP may only be used by students and by faculty for academic uses. Commercial and other non-academic uses are prohibited. By using this copy of JMP, you agree to this restriction.

Your computer meet the following requirements to use JMP:

Installation Instructions

The following instructions will install the required files on your computer to use JMP. This procedure only needs to be performed once, but it must be done on every individual computer on which you wish to use JMP.

  1. Connect to the repository for the installation files from Box at https://unh.box.com/v/unh-academic-apps. This folder is accessible to all UNH account holders, but you may have to login with your UNH username and password to gain access.
  2. Open the folder for the JMP software.
  3. Open the folder for the version and operating system you would like to install. JMP Pro 15 is the most recent and the basis for these instructions.
  4. You will see an archive for the software. In this case, it will be a .zip archive file. Download this by clicking on the item and then clicking on the Download button that appears in the middle of the browser window. Be sure to Download the .zip archive to your computer. Do not Open it from the location.
  5. Once the download has finished, locate the .zip archive. Typically it is in the Downloads folder in your user folder on the computer. Right-click on the .zip archive and select Extract All. Once extracted, you should see the installation files to continue the process.
  6. Navigate to the setup.exe program. You can find it in the following set of nested folders: JMP, JMP_Pro, 15, Windows. Double-click setup.exe to run it.
  7. Proceed through the setup program. When the Welcome screen appears, click the Next button.
  8. JMP may request to first install the a new .NET Framework before its installation proceeds. If so, allow the .NET Framework to install, accepting default choices.
  9. For the "Destination Folder", it is recommended that you accept the default location by simply clicking the Next button.
  10. When asked to "Select Features", the default installation options are recommended. Click the Next button to continue.
  11. Click Install to begin the installation.
  12. When the setup process completes, click Finish to exit. Registering JMP is not required.
  13. Once the installation is complete, you may discard the installation archive you downloaded in the initial steps.

Using JMP

Once you have completed the installation, you can run JMP by using the shortcuts in the JMP 15 folder of the Start Menu. JMP is installed entirely on your local computer, and you do not need to be connected to UNH's network to run the program.

Uninstalling JMP

If you wish to remove JMP from your computer, you may do so via the Windows Add/Remove Programs Control Panel. Open this Control Panel, select the JMP item, and click the Remove button.
