Mac OS X - Microsoft Office 2004 Installation
System Requirements - Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later, 256 M RAM, 630 M hard drive space
Includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Entourage, MSN Messenger
Note: The "UNH-Public" network does not allow Windows file sharing (SMB/CIFS) connections. You must be on a wired Ethernet connection for this to work, or you must use the UNH VPN or "UNH-Secure", if you are on wireless.
If you are installing from off-campus, you must use the UNH VPN to be able to access the installation files.
- In the Finder, select Connect to Server... from the Go menu.
- Enter the following URL and click the Connect button:
smb://academic.unh.edu/office$ - Login with your AD credentials.
If using Mac OS X 10.4 or earlier, make sure that the Workgroup or Domain field says AD. Then, enter your AD username and password in the other two fields.
If using Mac OS X 10.5, enter your your username prefixed by AD\ (e.g. AD\djb1) as the Name: field and your AD password in the Password: field. - When the Office$ window appears, drag and drop the Microsoft Office 2004 folder to your Applications folder.
- That's all. Unmount the server volume when the copying is complete.
It is suggested you run the Microsoft AutoUpdate application to retrieve any new updates or patches to Microsoft Office 2004.
